It was a rough Friday for Paul on the 24th. He started off on the wrong foot when he spun the car in qualifying with minimal damage. Then in the race a car wrecked in front of him and Paul almost avoided the crash when the wrecked car came back up the track and into Paul. That ended Paul's night and because of this Paul recieved the Bell Hard Luck Award. The next race on the touring schedule is Myrtle Beach where Paul hopes to turn his luck around because he has scored three top ten finishes including two top 5 finishes.

Orange County Speedway
The race on Saturday was not very exciting for Paul. But in practice Paul was complaining of a vibration and when he pulled in it was discovered that he had two loose lug nuts. Paul started 16th in the race. There were wrecks in front of him where he got through and gained positions. He could not pass people even though he could catch them, when he got close he would get too loose. But he did manage to get by some people and pick up the Bell-4-Saftey award for finishing 4th which is his best finish of the season. Last time Paul was at Orange County Speedway he was involved in a big practice wreck and was not able to compete in the race. The next race is Friday May 23rd at Tri-County Motor Speedway.

Paul started fourth race in the 2008 Legacy season at the 50 lapper on Saturday at Concord Motorsports Park. Paul qualified 13th. He made two pit stops. The first the team did not have enough time to do anything but the second time they loosened the car. Paul was involved in a few wrecks with only minimal damage. Most of them were a wrong place wrong time deal. This meaning that Paul did not cause them. He made his way back up the field to get a season best finish of 10th. Paul climbed up to 20th in points. The next race is Orange County Speedway on May 17th.

Updated!!! Interviews!!!
South Boston Speedway
Paul and his crew had high hopes for the race at South Boston because they tested there earlier in the year. They went through the race with hopes of stopping the streak of bad luck. They almost accomplished the task at hand but while in a pack of about six cars there was a wreck that left about three cars totaled and Paul's car was one of those. (the team declared the car could not be repaired and are purchasing a car) The race was shortened to 35 laps because after this wreck was a red flag. But they look to turn their luck around at Concord on Saturday April 26th.

Dillon Motor Speedway
The rain finally stopped at Dillon Motor Speedway on Saturday. But luck was not on Paul's side. Paul started 17th. Like Hickory, he was on his way to getting the hard charger award because he had made his way up to 8th. But then bad luck struck when his starter wire broke plus a spring fell off the carburetor and the throttle hung. But then Paul was squeezed down and spun. He finished 24th and is currently 21st in the points after two races. The next race is South Boston on Saturday April 19th.

Rain Rain Rain
At Dillon Motor Speedway on March 29th the story was rain. The series got in all practices but did not get qualifying or the race. The race has been rescheduled to April 12th. This means that Dillon, South Boston, and Concord races are consecutive.
Hickory Motor Speedway
The Allison Legacy series had their season opener at Hickory Motor Speedway on March 22nd. The day started out with a challenge because the teams haulers had to be outside the track. But if that wasn't enough the teams could not go back out to the haulers. Because of this most teams unloaded their haulers and took everything in the track. In the first practice Paul and his team used knowledge from last year and scuffed his race tires. But in the second practice, a car in front of Paul got loose and spun out and Paul was collected with only minimal damage. The team repaired it and got the car ready for qualifying. Paul qualifyed 17th out of 29. During the race Paul was coming through the field with the 44 car. Paul was in 7th with 2 laps to go. He had been patient throughout the race. Then he got into a wreck. Paul pulled his car onto pit road and the crew pulled of anything hanging off and checked to make sure everything was straight. Paul finished 18th.

A Look At 2008
Who will win the first race of the Allison Legacy Touring series? Well, the Legacy series will be challenging this year. Paul has been testing for the new season and has reported back that the car was fantastic. It handled great and it held together. Will the 3rd season be the charm for Paul to get his first Allison Legacy victory? He will have to edge out Ryan Glenski and Justin Allison. These are two drivers that were a stiff competition last year for Paul. He has thought that the team is good enough for possibly a championship. But can he edge out the competiton? Will he win Hickory? Will he win the championship? To find the answer, you will just have to come out and watch.
The first race in the 2008 season is Hickory on March 22nd.
This is the weather report for Hickory Motor Speedway.
A New Number?
In the offseason, Paul was wondering about a switch to a possible new number. 22 is the number that Brandon Wrisley currently has and teams went into negtiation about a possible change. Although it is a switch that the Allison Legacy officals have said is up to Wrisley and his team, Brandon was not willing to give up the number and Paul will continue to drive the 36 car. But could he have a new sponsor? If you would like to be that sponsor please visit the sponsor page.
Allison Legacy Banquet
The Allison Legacy banquet was held on Saturday January 12th. Paul was credited with his 7th place finish on the 2007 Touring series.

Carolina Motorsports Park
In the final event of the 2007 Allison Legacy schedule, Paul qualified 4th. But wild things didn't start out in the race but practice where Paul ran into the 00 car who spun in front of him.
But for the line up in front of him was Cooper, McReynolds and Houge. At the beginning of the race everyone was trying to settle in but with 3 cars off course in 1 lap it was hard to do.
Paul was pushing his car to catch up to the leaders. He had a special crew cheif and spotter this week. Curtis Markham the 4 time Late model champion and 89 time winner. Paul went off course 2 times through the race. He came home 4th and was the Bell-4 Saftey Award winner. Paul was unofficially 7th in the points at the end of the season. Paul is thought to be coming back to race in 2008.

Concord Motorsports Park
Paul started toward the back in the Mason-Dixon Meltown. On the pole in the 99 car was Dylan Sawyer. But it didn't take long for Paul to start gaining positions. He was in a pack of about 5 car taking it easy behind Nick Pope. Comming out of turn four he spun the car around and no caution came out but he was still going strong behind the 5 car pack. On the next restart after about a lap, two cars (thought to be Cody Smith and Tyler Millwood) turned into eachother infront of the pack that Paul was in the back of. As the cars came in front of the pack everyone scrambled to stay out of the wreck but few (including Paul) were sucessful. He tore the front of his car off completely. In a post wreck interview Paul showed his displeasure for the two cars lack of patients on lap 35 out of 50. Paul came home 17th. Micheal Cooper went on to win the race and has already won the championship. Nick Pope clinched 2nd in the standings and will not race the last race at Kershaw. He has sold his Allison Legacy car and is moving up in the series.
